Can't register channels

I've tried in vain to register my channels #albumsaltitude and #Baseball but it just won't work.
what am doing wrong?

Try registering your nickname. Come by #derf and someone will help you. My nick on the server is 'brad'

okay NONE of the Servs are working.... it is because of the ICR Client I'm using? It's called Talkative IRC...
I can't reg my nick, my channels, or even access the bot serv...
Did we encounter another netsplit?

MuDD,
Some IRC clients require that you use /msg in front of services commands. If you're not using /msg in front of /msg chanserv and /msg nickserv, this could be why nothing is happening.
I see that both your channels are registered now (#albumsaltitude and #Baseball), so it looks like you got the hang of it, or some of the folks in #derf helped out.
